Overview:  The 2014 Internal Medicine Update (IMU) is the 2nd annual of the conference and takes place September 10, 2015 in the beautiful Chattanooga, TN, a city that has received a variety of awards, honors & attention in recent years.  This year's meeting is a condensed one and will begin with a keynote lecture from Lee Kaplan, MD, PhD (Harvard School of Medicine and Obesity, Metabolism & Nutrition Institute) and is followed by a dinner and panel discussion with Dr. Kaplan, Christopher Sanborn MD, Gregory Heath PhD, Joe Nadglowski, and a patient.  The meeting takes place the evening before the Tennessee American College of Physicians meeting (at The Chattanoogan Hotel).  Come to Chattanooga!

Education & Content: The 2015 IMU has been approved for 2.5 CME/AMA credits and is designed to meet the continuing medical education needs of physicians in order to enhance their knowledge, competence, and performance in various areas of interest & value. The content & instruction are focused on providing new practice abilities & strategies in order to ultimately improve patient outcomes.

 

  Accreditation: The University of Tennessee College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

  AMA Credit: The University of Tennessee College of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 2.5 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

  Continuing Education for Non-Physicians: Non-physicians can obtain continuing education credits for attending activities that award AMA Category 1 CreditsTM and other continuing medical education credits to physicians. Check with your licensure/certification board for confirmation.

 

Who Should Attend? Physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered nurses, residents, medical students, and other health care professionals invovled or interested in internal medicine.
