2019 Annual PSQI Deadlines and Process

  • If you plan to present your proposal at any external conference or venue (other than at our Annual PS/QI Day or outside our institution, or if you might want to submit your project for journal publication, it is likely that you will need IRB approval or exemption.  If either is the case, you must submit your proposal and the appropriate IRB form to Stacey Hendricks, IRB Administrator, by March 6 in order to be considered at the March 27 IRB meeting.  If you do not plan to present your project externally or submit for publication, you can disregard this step.

  • PS/QI Proposal Submission Forms must be submitted to your Department Chair or Program Director for approval by Tuesday, March 25, 2019.

  • The submission form utilizes the IHI Model for Improvement (e.g., AIM Statement, PDSA Cycles, etc.).  If you and your faculty mentor prefer, you may use another quality tool such as a LEAN tool or an A3 Template.  The A3 can be found on the Erlanger Intranet under Quality Improvement documents.  If you use a different tool, you will still need to include the cover sheet identifying any individuals with whom you worked on the project and space for approval by your Chair or Program Director.

  • PS/QI Proposal Submission Forms must be emailed from your Chair or Program Director (with his/her approval denoted) to Dr. Kohrt (Alan.Kohrt@erlanger.org) by Tues, April 2, 2019.

  • The PS/QI Advisory Committee will review and make selections by Tuesday, April 9 for presentation at the 2019 Annual PS/QI Day.

  • Presentations will be given on Friday, May 10, 2019, in Pierce Conference Room of the new Kennedy Children's Outpatient Center (starting around 8 AM).

  • Posters will not be used - presentations will be displayed via computer and digital projector.
