Other Orientation Sessions

 

  • All incoming residents and fellows beginning training July 1 must attend an Erlanger required computer and eCHART (epic) training session (Monday and Tuesday, June 22, and 23, 2020):
    • Mon, June 22 (8:30 AM - 4 PM at 1501 Riverside Drive):  Card/GI, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Pediatrics
    • Tues, June 23 (8:30 AM - 4 PM at 1501 Riverside Drive):  Emergency Medicine, OB/GYN, Orthopaedic Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Surgery, and Urology 
  • Wed, June 24, 2020, has been set aside for orientation by your departments and programs.
  • Wed evening, June 24, 2020 --  Tentative:  Welcome reception on the Southern Belle Riverboat, 6 - 9 PM, for all current and incoming residents and fellows, faculty, staff, and current residents and fellows
  • Mon morning, June 29 (8 - 11 AM) -- Required Special Well-Being Session with all Incoming Residents and Fellows in the Pierce Conference Room (located in the new Kennedy Children's Outpatient Center on the first floor)
  • Mon, June 29, 11 AM - 1 PM, all Incoming Residents and Fellows are required to have official UT photos taken in lab coats by professional photographer, David Humber.
  • Mon, June 29, 1:30 PM -- all Residents and Fellows may rejoin their programs for program specific orientation if scheduled by the departments.
  • Tues, June 30, 2020, (8 AM - 2 PM) -- All Incoming Residents and Fellows who officially being training on July 1 must attend a one-day required hospital and University orientation also in the Pierce Conference Room (located in the new Kennedy Children's Outpatient Center on the first floor).  Included will be sessions with the Dean, Chairs, Program Directors, Erlanger Administration, and our Associate Dean/DIO, Dr. Robert Fore.  Lunch will be provided.  University insurance representatives will be available during the morning orientation to finalize and explain all the insurance plans and benefits (health, hospitalization, vision, dental, life, and disability).  Residents and Fellows may be scheduled beyond 2 PM by their departments for specific program orientation if desired.

 

 We are looking forward to working with you as you enter this next chapter in your medical education training.  We will post department/program orientation planned sessions as those schedules are made available.  Again, we trust that you will understand that, due to the fluid, dynamic, and daily-changing situation involving the COVID-19 pandemic, our plans may change.  Please just keep checking back to his webpage as well as with your individual Coordinator.  Thank you all -- please be careful, safe, and well.  We cannot do this without you!
