Fellowship Programs

 

The UT College of Medicine Chattanooga currently sponsors 11 fellowship programs as part of the University of Tennessee Statewide Network of Graduate Medical Education:  Click on the links on the right-hand menu for details about each fellowship program:    

 

 

Current Fellowship Length Accreditation Pre-Requisite Training
Cardiovascular Disease 3 years ACGME Sponsored by the Department of Medicine. Must have completed an Internal Medicine Residency (3 years).
Colon and Rectal Surgery 1 year ACGME Surgery Residency (typically
 5 - 6  years)
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) 1 year ACGME Emergency Medicine Residency (3 years)
Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) 2 years American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) OB/GYN Residency (4 years)
Gastroenterology 3 years ACGME Sponsored by the Department of Medicine.  Must have completed an Internal Medicine Residency (3 years).
Neuro-Interventional Surgery 1 year Non-Accredited Radiology or Neurosurgery Residency (4 - 6 years).  Not accepting applications for 2015.
Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery 1 year Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA) accredited Orthopaedic Surgery Residency (at least 5 years)
Surgical Critical Care 1 year ACGME Surgery Residency or at least 3 years in an accredited Surgery Residency (typically 5 - 6 years)
Transitions to Practice in General Surgery 1 year American College of Surgeons Surgery Residency (typically 5 - 6 years)
Ultrasound (sponsored by Emergency Medicine) 1 year Non-Accredited Emergency Medicine Residency (3 years) (will begin 07/01/2016)

Vascular Surgery 2 years ACGME Surgery Residency (typically 5 - 6 years)
