Program Highlights

Erlanger provides the following assets and services for the catchment area spanning Southeast Tennessee, North Georgia, West North Carolina, and Northeast Alabama:

• One of the busiest Level I Trauma Centers in the nation

• One of the first accredited Chest Pain Centers in the nation

• Accredited Stroke Center

• One of only seven accredited Level I Hyperbaric facilities in the Southeast

• Med Comm Center for the Region (provides online medical direction for EMS)

• Life Force Air Medical Services (utilizing three helicopters for the region)

• Region's only EMRRT (Emergency Medical Rapid Response Team for out of hospital emergencies)

• Tennessee Disaster Medical Assistance Team (TN-1 DMAT)

• Two faculty who are tactical surgeons with the Chattanooga and Hamilton County SWAT Teams

• Medical Director of the Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services

• High Risk Obstetrics
